About Kamnol
The Story Behind Kamnol
Kamnol comes from the Korean word “깜놀 (kamnol),” short for “깜짝 놀라다 (kkamjjag nollada),” which means “Wow! Surprised!” or “Amazed!”
Our name reflects our deep desire to deliver services that go beyond expectations — experiences that make our clients say “Wow!” with genuine delight and surprise.
My personal fascination with Korean culture began as a hobby and gradually grew through my professional journey. Eventually, I developed strong business ties with Korea and even learned the language, which inspired the name Kamnol.
Through this word, which conveys “a surprise that moves the heart,” I aim to bring that same spirit into our consulting services.
After graduating from a university in Canada, I began my career as a concierge at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, where I learned the true essence of hospitality. Long before that, as a child, I even dreamed of becoming a general manager of Ryokan (Japanese Classic Hotel) .
Helping others and hearing them say “thank you” has always been my greatest motivation — a value that remains at the heart of Kamnol’s mission today as we support clients in Talent Acquisition and HR.
